It all begins with a smile...

 

Dr. Mike is a "Native Texan" from Lubbock, TX, and is a graduate of Texas Tech University and Baylor College of Dentistry. While at Baylor, he was selected as the "Outstanding Dentist in Pediatric Dentistry" by the faculty at graduation. He has been practicing dentistry with his wife & best friend, Dr. Venssa Knight, for over 20 years. They were among the first dentists in the US trained in "laser tooth whitening", and have treated well over 3500 whitening cases in their career with the BriteSmile and/or Zoom whitening systems. Dr. Mike also served as vice-president of one of the leading tooth whitening corporations between 1997-98 before returning to private practice in Park City.

 
Dr. Mike has completed advanced post-graduate training under the prestigious Hornbrook Group and LVI. He is also trained/certified in the use of the Versawave erbium/YAG laser.

Dr. Mike performs most of the patient exams (new patient and cleaning), emergency exams, and treatment planning in our practice. He also does some of the pediatric restorative dentistry, is the "laser doc" in the practice, and oversees all whitening cases. He also works with Dr. Venssa on all large cosmetic and reconstructive cases. He is the "technology nut" in our practice!

 

 

 

When not at work, Dr. Mike is busy with his 3 children (especially when it comes to math homework!) He loves to ski, fish, bird hunt, and hike. His "passion", though, is cooking BBQ competitively on a professional circuit. His team - consisting of Dr. Mike, Dr. Venssa, and their kids - is known as "Hoochie Que", and has won numerous awards over the past 4 years. The team was invited to compete in the prestigious Jack Daniels World Championship BBQ Competition in 2009!
