Dr.
Venssa (pronounced "Venessa") is a "Native Texan" from Houston, TX, and
a graduate of Texas A&M University and Baylor College of Dentistry.
She has practiced dentistry full-time for over 20 years with her husband, Dr. Michael Knight.
Dr. Venssa performs much of the restorative dental work in our practice. With her training and keen eye for detail, she
is also the "cosmetic guru" in our practice - handling everything from
the treatment planning to the final cementation of crowns/veneers in
all major cosmetic and reconstructive cases (along with occasional support from
Dr. Mike.) She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Venssa is recognized as one of the top cosmetic and general dentists in Utah. She has completed advanced post-graduate training from the renowned Hornbrook Group in cosmetic dentistry and full mouth reconstruction - an accomplishment fewer than 1% of all general dentists in the US have achieved. She is also trained and certified with the Odyssey diode laser. Dr. Venssa and Dr. Mike were also among the first dentists in the US trained in "laser tooth whitening", and have treated well over 3500 whitening cases in their career with the BriteSmile and/or Zoom whitening systems.
When not busy with her career, Dr. Venssa is actively involved in the lives of her 3 children. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and travel. Dr. Venssa is finally getting the hang of a computer - and simply loves her iPhone! And if that isn't enough, she is an integral part of Dr. Mike's professional competition BBQ team, "Hoochie Que", which was invited to compete in the Jack Daniel's World Championship in 2009!
